I. Job Summary

Under general supervision, manages the accumulation of records and associated internal and regulatory reporting. Responsible for records gathering and compilation for use by internal stakeholders and submission to regulators for reporting purposes.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
  • Reviews implementation of regulations and company policies and procedure, monitors for compliance.
  • Creates and submits various weekly, monthly, and annual regulatory and environmental reports, including reports for national and state hazardous waste program, air monitoring, household hazardous waste, electronic waste, landfill and more.
  • Oversees facility PM10 Air Monitoring Program, including sample set-up/tear down, instrument calibration and sample calculations; maintains program compliance following PM10 SAP.
  • Responsible for NYSDEC Annual Quality Assurance Air Monitoring Program site audit.
  • Maintains systems for accurate tracking of quantity and type of waste shipped off-site; this includes ensuring receipt of signed manifests and disposal certificates from the TSDRs.
  • Ensures accurate manifest preparation and submittal to the USEPA e-Manifest database, to reflect all inbound and outbound waste information.
  • Assists site personnel with preparation of documents, reports and outbound manifests; reviews and evaluates work, ensures quality and timeliness; ensures quality control in adherence to policies, procedures and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees waste tracking computer system; assists site personnel with use of the system and provides training as necessary.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervisory responsibilities include indirect supervision of third-party subcontractors.

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Education: Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.

Experience: Four years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Hazardous waste, 40 hour OSHA Training, equipment operating and supervisory experience required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

None required.

Normal setting for this job is: landfill

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
