Welder/Fabricator

Northwest Container, a Waste Connections Company, is an intermodal train yard. It specializes in the storage, repair and train movement for 20-foot, 40-foot, 45-foot, 48-foot and 53-foot containers. The Container Yard handles both empty and loaded containers.

Schedule will be M-F, 7 am-3:30 pm. Pay range for this position is $29-$32/hr DOE.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and required maintenance on all steamship line containers, including welding and fabrication.
• Repairs on steel dry and insulated cargo containers
• Involved in the building of new containers in a safe, efficient, and detail oriented environment.

Requirements:

• Safety Oriented
• Be self motivated
• Welding experience required
• Fabrication experience
• Cutting torch and plasma cutter experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Punctual with a good attendance history
• Organized and strong time management skills
