Job Title: Timekeeping Specialist
Job Description
Join our dynamic and growing organization as a Timekeeping Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our time and attendance systems. You will be responsible for designing and managing accrual configurations, serving as a technical subject matter expert, and ensuring compliance and accuracy in timekeeping data.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complex rules for time and attendance systems, including schedules, time codes, accruals, holidays, and exception policies.
- Design and manage accrual configurations for PTO, sick, vacation, and other leave types in accordance with state, federal, and company policies.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for timekeeping and accrual systems, providing support to HR, Payroll, and Finance teams.
- Conduct audits of time and accrual data to ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment with GL reporting and labor costing.
- Partner with Payroll and Finance teams to ensure that time data is correctly mapped for payroll processing and financial accruals.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of configuration logic, calculation methodology, and workflow design.
- Support regression and user acceptance testing for system enhancements, patches, and new functionality related to time and accrual systems.
- Automate recurring reports and dashboards that provide insight into labor, leave balances, and accrual liabilities.
- Analyze legislative and policy changes impacting accruals and timekeeping, recommending and implementing necessary system adjustments.
- Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors on system enhancements, interface improvements, and integration projects.
- Monitor deliverables and timelines, proactively flagging risks and delays, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data requirements, workflow diagrams, test plans, and outcomes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in timekeeping systems such as Kronos and ADP Vantage Now.
- Strong Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with employee record file numbers, accruals, and audits.
- Knowledge of General Ledger and large data sets.
- Experience in data mapping, configuration, and user acceptance testing.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of experience with ADP systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Familiarity with Ultrax, Tableau, and Power BI.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, but must reside within a 100 -150 mile radius of Los Angeles area. You will be part of a collaborative team of four and report directly to the HRIS Finance Manager. Enjoy the stability of a billion-dollar organization while contributing to a growing company.
