Job Title: Pharmacy Technician


Job Description

We are seeking Registered Pharmacy Technicians to join a dynamic call-center environment. The role involves managing a high volume of inbound phone calls and handling various responsibilities related to patient prescription processing. The technician will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and entering prescription orders while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.


Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls, engaging in active listening to confirm or clarify information.
  • Verify HIPAA information and maintain confidentiality when interacting with patients and providers.
  • Work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy teams to ensure timely fulfillment of patient and provider needs.
  • Coordinate with call center Hub programs as applicable.
  • Enter and process prescription orders based on urgency through the pharmacy processing system.
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines, maintaining professionalism and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Efficiently input data into the pharmacy processing system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Skills
  • Data entry proficiency
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician license (Florida Board of Pharmacy Registered)
  • Experience in customer service and retail pharmacy settings
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong knowledge of prescriptions, dosing, and dosage
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of pharmacy work experience is ideal
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
  • Experience with non-commercial pharmacy is beneficial
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Efficient typing skills and adaptability
Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Lake Mary, FL, operating within a call-center setting. Equipment such as a laptop and headset will be provided. Work hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts potentially falling between 8am-8pm EST, although operational hours are from 7am-10pm and may change based on business needs. Employees will have a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks, which are scheduled and not flexible.
