Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role involves handling specialty pharmaceuticals and related supplies in accordance with regulations and company policies. You will be responsible for processing pharmacy orders, managing inventory, and ensuring the proper storage of medications.

Responsibilities

• Handle medication of specialty pharmaceuticals and related supplies following regulations and company policies.
• Process pharmacy orders, ensuring all necessary items are included.
• Perform drug and supply ordering and manage inventory.
• Ensure proper storage of drugs and supplies, including refrigeration of perishable products.
• Monitor and adjust pharmacy equipment as needed.

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy Technician Certification/Registration preferred, but not required.
• Pharmacy experience or packing medication experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 35lbs throughout the day.
• Ability to stand on feet all day.
• Attention to detail with no room for error.
• Positive attitude and self-motivation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with order entry and inventory management.
• Ability to provide administrative support.

Work Environment

The role is based in a closed-door pharmacy fulfillment site, working closely with pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians. The work schedule is 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday-Friday, with the option for overtime on weekends. This position is a 6-month contract with the possibility of hire. There are opportunities for cross-training and advancement to a nationally certified pharmacy technician. Interviews are rapid hire, and the hiring process is conducted on behalf of the hiring manager.
