Description
The PC Support Technician provides on-site technical support for one or more office locations. This role demands strong customer service skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a broad understanding of IT systems and a passion for solving problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Issue Management & Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues.
- Provide timely updates to users regarding ticket status and resolution.
- Monitor and troubleshoot AV systems, including boardroom and event equipment.
- Collaborate directly with end-users to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Leverage internal knowledge bases and external resources to research solutions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
System Maintenance & Configuration
- Perform routine maintenance on desktops and laptops.
- Track and manage IT assets in accordance with company standards.
- Execute data backups and restores as needed.
- Configure hardware components such as drives, memory, network interfaces, and peripherals.
- Install and configure operating systems, patches, and third-party software.
- Support and enforce established IT standards; participate in testing new configurations.
