Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Location: Frankfort, KY | Intermediate Level


Position Overview:

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a long-term opportunity supporting end users in a professional IT environment. This role involves assisting with the installation, testing, and support of network devices, hardware, and software. The technician will provide technical support for enterprise systems, troubleshoot user issues, and help maintain network infrastructure and documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and assist with the selection and setup of hardware and software.
  • Use a ticketing system to resolve technical issues related to network infrastructure and user accounts.
  • Troubleshoot and support enterprise software, including email, backup systems, antivirus, and user access.
  • Support agency security standards and contribute to required documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance for networking issues and local area network maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

  • On-site during training period.

Required Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and desktop hardware.
  • Familiarity with help desk operations and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot printers, mobile devices, and common software applications.
  • Understanding of user account management and basic network connectivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent technical/vocational training (year-for-year substitution).
  • At least two years of professional experience in desktop or end-user support.
  • Experience in programming, systems analysis, or network support may substitute for education requirements.
