Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking an analytical chemist to lead client projects, develop testing methods, and guide a team in executing these methods. The role involves working with Chromatography, Mass-Spectrometry, and ICP-MS technologies, primarily focusing on method development rather than conducting tests. You will present methods to both the team and clients, and occasionally to the quality team, to justify the chosen approaches. While not directly managing other chemists, you will provide them with tasks and have opportunities for training and development.

Responsibilities
  • Qualify projects with clients and develop testing methods.
  • Guide the team in executing developed methods.
  • Present methods to the team and clients, and justify them to the quality team.
  • Write work instructions from a method level on client projects.
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Skills
  • Strong background in analytical chemistry.
  • Proficiency in Chromatography, Mass-Spectrometry, and ICP-MS.
  • Experience with method validation and development.
  • Minimum of a BS in Chemistry.
  • Ability to follow GMP processes.
  • Five years of experience in a QA or QC lab.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with lab equipment maintenance or validation is advantageous.
  • Advanced degrees such as a Master's or PhD are considered but not required.
  • Strong report writing skills.
Work Environment

The role is based in a cGMP site, though not within a Quality Control Lab. The analytical team consists of 6-8 chemists working in a stand-alone building. The position follows a standard Monday to Friday first-shift schedule with flexible hours. The environment encourages innovation and offers the chance to work on new pharmaceutical products.

Compensation:$35
