Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing receiving inspections of incoming medical device parts, materials, and components in accordance with established quality standards and procedures. Your role involves verifying that received items meet required specifications, including dimensions, functionality, and documentation. You will actively participate in technical meetings with the engineering division, serving as the main point of contact for the Technician group's vision.


Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspections of incoming medical device parts, materials, and components.
  • Verify that received items meet required specifications, including dimensions, functionality, and documentation.
  • Participate in technical meetings with the engineering division as the main point of contact for the Technician group's vision.
  • Review supplier certifications, test results, and other quality-related documentation for compliance.
  • Conduct visual and mechanical inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, discrepancies, and defects, collaborating with suppliers to address quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Quality Engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ISO and FDA guidelines.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in quality inspection, blueprint reading, visual inspection, and use of micrometers.
  • Ability to identify non-conforming items and perform quality checks.
  • Proficient in using microscopes, QC tools, and SAP software.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO, FDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • A.A.S. Degree with a focus on medical device tech or manufacturing tech is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability to changing priorities. You will utilize technologies such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and SAP software. The role involves collaboration across various teams including Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Quality Engineering to ensure product integrity and safety.


Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden Valley, Minnesota.
