Description

The Role: The Electrical Engineer for Hardware Development is a key resource on business-critical projects, architecting and designing the electrical systems for the next generation of high-performance automation equipment. The position’s scope includes system-level architecture, high-level system design, and detailed electrical subsystem design spanning areas, including analog sensing, motion control, and mixed-signal design. What You’ll Do: Help deliver the next generation of pick and place automation equipment. Champion key development milestones and grow to the level of subject matter expert on the team. Review product test methods, fixtures, and results for test efficacy and product qualification. Work with junior engineers to provide technical guidance. Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate: Willingness to work at the system level to drive product architecture and machine-level design. Comfortable moving between system-level goals and subsystem requirements and detailed design. Aptitude to develop, debug, verify, and characterize the design of electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical circuits and integrated systems. Strengths in hardware/firmware design using processors, FPGA, sensors, actuators, and mixed-signal analog and digital circuits via schematic entry, layout, simulation, and optimization. Confidence in design, review, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, verification, validation testing, and manufacturing start-up support. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree preferred. Relevant experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design with an in-depth understanding of core concepts such as noise, mismatch, etc. Design experience with high-precision voltage regulators, operational amplifiers (IC), comparators, buck-switching converters, LDOs Experience with Altium PCB Design Tools (experience with SOLIDWORKS Electrical suite a plus). Proficiency with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition, power supplies, soldering, etc. Team lead experience is preferred. Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to understand and interpret detailed documents and drawings. The ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and in giving presentations. The ability to travel to other company sites may occasionally be required
