Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a long-term care pharmacy environment. This role involves accurately entering prescription data into the pharmacy system and supporting customer service needs with professionalism and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve medication-related questions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety, privacy, and compliance regulations, including HIPAA.
• Maintain professional standards in attendance, conduct, and dress code.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active pharmacy technician license/certification as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician (long-term care experience preferred).
• Familiarity with brand/generic medications and SIG codes.
• Proficient in alpha-numeric data entry and basic math.
• Ability to read and interpret prescription information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Framework experience is required.
