Job Description
As a Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure compliance with OSHA standards and manage the safety of facilities service staff and contracted service personnel. You will supervise, train, and evaluate the maintenance team, fostering skill development and ensuring successful operations. Your role involves overseeing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while managing administrative tasks for quality and regulatory compliance. You will direct and manage shift maintenance personnel activities and coordinate with Facilities and Operations teams to ensure smooth plant operation.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and coordinate repair of equipment failures, scheduling outages and repair windows with Operations leadership.
- Develop, implement, and review Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in accordance with guidelines and maintain on-site operating and training manuals.
- Implement continuous improvement opportunities utilizing lean methodologies.
- Manage and appraise the performance of facility staff, coordinating maintenance work schedules, and managing outside contractors and agencies.
- Oversee procurement of parts, tools, supplies, and services required for facility operations and manage the departmental budget.
- Assist with planning, implementing, and overseeing plant improvement projects, traveling to other locations as necessary.
- 5+ years experience within industrial maintenance or facilities related position.
- 3+ years in a supervisory or lead position.
- Knowledge of technical, building operations, basic mechanical systems, and facilities management best practices.
- Understanding of basic accounting and finance principles.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret regulatory and safety guidelines applicable to the industry.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Competent user of computer programs, including email, project management or maintenance software, and spreadsheets.
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare/cleanroom or manufacturing environment.
- 1+ years of CMMS experience.
- Willingness to obtain forklift, aerial lift, and other powered lift system qualifications.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr.
