Job Description
This position provides vital administrative and clerical support to the Revenue Accounting Leadership Team. The role supports employees across various locations in the state, necessitating professional communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will adeptly manage multiple projects and priorities, fostering positive relationships with both internal and external clients. Collaboration, planning, and coordination of corporate events/functions are key, as is effective communication with external resources. Occasional travel may be required. This is an on-site position based at the Alabama Power Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Revenue Accounting Leadership Team.
- Support employees in various locations across the state.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
- Collaborate, plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events/functions.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with external resources and individuals.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience with administrative assistance and front desk operations.
- Ability to scan and manage documents.
- Excellent administrative skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reports, etc.) are desired.
- Experience with Enterprise Solutions, MRS, and Oracle is preferred.
- Experience in invoice processing and expense account processing.
- Familiarity with accounting software, especially Oracle, is a plus.
- Experience in timekeeping.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently under pressure.
- Effective multitasking abilities.
- Experience in planning events for large groups.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in learning new skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Work Environment
The role is based on-site at Alabama Power Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL. The position may require occasional travel. The work environment involves using standard office equipment and working collaboratively within a team.
