Job Description
This role involves working closely with Account Executives and Lighting Design Analysts to assist with lighting designs ensuring all National Electrical Code (NEC) systems meet local code requirements in Alabama. The position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, tracking, and managing the installation and maintenance of NEC lighting systems in the upper half of the state.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, schedule, track, and manage the installation and maintenance of NEC lighting systems.
- Ensure quality control and provide performance feedback to Lighting Contractors.
- Approve payment of invoices and assist with lighting project designs.
- Address lighting maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure lighting systems are safely installed and repaired within cost estimates, and comply with all codes and specifications.
- Collaborate with Lighting Account Executives, Sales Consultants, and Lighting Design Analysts to facilitate a lighting design meeting safety, NEC codes, and specifications.
- Conduct pre-construction job site visits to identify site conditions and potential conflicts.
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings with representatives to communicate job site responsibilities and schedules.
- Ensure all permits and utility locates are in place prior to construction commencement and remain valid throughout.
- Review and approve contract labor unit sheets and track all labor associated with each lighting project.
- Manage job schedule to ensure all commitment dates are achieved.
- Inspect completed lighting installation and repair projects for compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
- Assist internal and external personnel with issues related to maintenance of lighting facilities.
- Master Electrical License required.
- Electrical License in the state of Alabama.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in outdoor NEC lighting system design and installation.
- Experience with NEC lighting system designs, installations, and managing contractor workforce.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LAMP, CAMP, and Fulcrum.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across organizational groups.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience interfacing with partner organizations such as Divisions, Customer Service, and Sales.
- Ability to grasp concepts and adapt to changing technology.
- Must be self-motivated and possess innovative problem-solving skills.
This position is located at 700 North 18th Street-LCL149, covering the northern territory. The role requires working within project timelines and effectively managing resources with minimal supervision. This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
