Position Description: Lead, direct, and manage assigned non-programmatic xPL Offsite project portfolio and individual project teams from project pursuit to closeout. Drive continuous improvement and team development to support management and delivery of projects. Provide leadership contributions to further develop and expand xPL Offsite business.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain long-lasting and trusting relationships with each specific project client, designers, manufacturers, and stakeholders for project success.
  • Fully understand client/project objectives to discover and explore future business opportunities and broker connections with other xPL or functional business teams to facilitate demonstrations and conversations to showcase business value with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Assume role of operational lead in lieu of in-place xPL Project Manager.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to individual project teams to align and support client expectations and adherence to business processes. Foster culture of inclusiveness and employee engagement resulting in high team performance.
  • Work collaboratively to develop staffing strategies focused on assigning the right staff to deliver projects.
  • Collaborate with xPL Project Controls to develop measurable metrics and provide strategic guidance to clients and internal team leaders to communicate and support specific project vision, business objectives, and progress.
  • Maintain up-to-date progress and monitor overall health of projects, manage and/or escalate issues and provide summary of individual team progress to xPL leadership team.
  • Partner with xPL Project Controls to assess and enhance effective operations of systems and applications to support internal and external (e.g., client) programs and team productivity.
  • Partner with cross-functional xPL teams to manage scope, timelines, deliverables, required resources, work plans, budgets and client delivery aligned with xPL business standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contractual obligations.
  • Use data analytics to establish, monitor, and measure project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as early indicators of potential risks. Engage with cross-functional xPL teams to review progress and amend project operations to support alignment to KPIs and minimize risks.
  • Assist with development of xPL Project Management & Delivery Playbook to define business SOPs. Engage teams in continuous improvement reviews to enhance processes, deliverables, and utilization of various xPL initiatives and technologies. Conduct reviews (at minimum annually) to make necessary adjustments to SOP or roles and responsibilities of xPL Operations team.
  • Manage xPL Project Management employees and other team members; and may participate in hiring process, onboarding, deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports, contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with employee development needs.
  • Coordinate xPL resources across projects, including staffing, required materials, fabrication, and transportation to deliver client's expectations.
  • Oversee inclusion and implementation of safety protocols throughout project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field of study, and minimum of 10 years of related experience with progressive responsibility, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience in supply chain, 4PL, commercial construction, or related industry with extensive knowledge of regional manufacturers, suppliers, and industry trends
  • Knowledge of cost, scheduling, purchasing, estimating, engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principles
  • Interpersonal relationship building skills to develop trusted relationships with stakeholders' ability to engage and partner with stakeholders at various organizational levels
  • Negotiation skills with ability influence outcomes
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, scopes of work, and project schedule
  • Analytical and process critical thinking skills with sound judgement and decision-making
  • Project management and leadership skills, able to manage high volumes of work and ability to motivate teams and projects to move forward in a complex environment
  • Executive level presentation delivery skills, anticipate needs of audience, and tailor communications appropriately
  • Leadership and management experience, with ability to mentor and develop employees
  • Ability to drive process enhancements through continuous improvement concepts and methodologies
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications, familiar with BIM based applications, and familiar with other technologies specific to manufacturing LOD-400 and higher processes.
  • Limited travel

The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
