Job Title: Electrical Engineer


Job Description

This role involves working on a multi-disciplinary program, collaborating with a small team and a larger organization. The primary focus is on programming and developing a controls system to manage a Ram A turbine, specifically by developing the hardware that controls this system.


Responsibilities

  • Design, layout, integrate, and test electrical systems.
  • Test and debug circuit boards.
  • Perform circuit analysis and simulation.
  • Support the development of a controls system providing emergency power for subsystems on aircraft.
  • Present to internal and external stakeholders with strong presentation skills.

Essential Skills

  • Power electronics expertise.
  • PCB design experience.
  • EMI/EMC experience (electromagnetic interference/compatibility).
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering is a nice-to-have.
  • Comfortable working in a prototyping environment.
  • Experience in cable/harness design and development.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB.
  • Experience in design, development, and verification of FPGA or ASIC solutions for integrated software and hardware systems.

Work Environment

The position is onsite in Huntsville, AL, with occasional travel to Hollywood, AL. There is an option to travel to partner sites, though it is not required. The company is employee-owned and offers great benefits. Compensation:$125000
