Leidos is seeking an accomplished Senior Lead Program Scheduler to provide strategic scheduling leadership on a high-priority NASA program. This is not a routine scheduling role-it is a senior leadership position that will directly influence program execution, delivery, and business outcomes for the Universal Stage Adapter (USA) project.
In this position, you will provide direct programmatic scheduling leadership. From our Solutions campus in Huntsville Alabama, you will be working with various Integrated Product Teams, key program stakeholders, and EVMS support team to improve program planning and execution while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policy and procedures. This highly visible role is ideal for a senior scheduling professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments and seeks to apply their expertise to programs that directly support NASA's Space Launch Systems requirement.
This Senior Lead Program Scheduler will be an integral part of the larger enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE), a team-leading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling, planning, EVMS, the associated infrastructure and tools, implementations, training, and surveillance for Leidos.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $190,350.00

This Senior Lead Program Scheduler will be an integral part of the larger enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE), a team-leading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling, planning, EVMS, the associated infrastructure and tools, implementations, training, and surveillance for Leidos.
Primary Responsibilities.
- Serve as the primary scheduling leader and advisor for program, shaping program strategies through advanced scheduling practices.
- Partner with executive leadership, program managers, CAMs, and technical SMEs to influence decision-making and optimizing program performance.
- Drive the integration of technical, cost, and resource baselines to establish accurate forecasts, estimates-to-complete (ETC), and actionable insights for leadership
- Responsible for applying scheduling theory/practice to develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related artifacts in compliance with applicable standards and policies such as EVM standard EIA-748 and industry best practices (e.g., PASEG, NDIA) in alignment with the mission of the EVM COE and in support of programs.
- Requires senior level understanding of project scheduling using MS Project, program management, and Earned Value Management knowledge
- Responsible for implementing practices to align the time phasing and plans for resources with the IMS to provide an integrated technical, schedule, and resource / cost baseline and forecast/ ETC for programs
- Ability to create what-if/impact" scenarios within the schedule that inform program leadership
- Serves as a scheduling leader in assisting programs with issue identification & resolution solutions
- Develop scheduling artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
- Provides scheduling support to EVM COE and programs for internal and external audits, reviews, and application of resulting corrective actions.
- BA degree and 10+ years of prior experience within the Aerospace/Defense Industry
- Recognized expertise in programmatic scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, with proven success leading schedule management on large, complex programs.
- Must have advanced expertise using Microsoft Project scheduling software
- Strong command of advanced scheduling practices, including:
- schedule status processes
- schedule health assessment (e.g., 14-Point Analysis)
- resource loading/management
- cost and schedule integration
- baseline change control processes
- schedule execution metrics (BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI etc.)
- Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)/Monte Carlo Analysis and tools
- Critical Path Method (CPM) and Margin/Float management
- Experience with NASA customer oversight
- Experience with DCMA audits and surveillance
- Intermediate to advanced expertise using Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Scheduling Professional (SP) certification
- Utilization of MS Project Macros
