Leidos Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a talented Quality Inspector. Primary Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer will support mechanical and electronics manufacturing including SMT and soldering of PCBA's and assembly integration and testing for aerospace and defense manufacturing. Candidate will perform program quality planning, analyze program QA requirements, develop inspection/test procedures and revies process plans, finalize source inspection checklist, coordinate review nonconformance documentation and support root cause/corrective action. Other key duties include reviewing AS9102 FAI documentation, working with DCMA and other government quality assurance agencies. Collection and reporting of Quality Metrics, reviewing and approving new drawings, supporting project managers during design, manufacturing readiness reviews, PDR, CDR, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and conducting supplier surveillance audits.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00

Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a High School Diploma/GED with a 3-5 years of prior relevant experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
- Candidate must have working knowledge of IPC-a-610 and IPC-J-STD-001
- Candidate must have experience working with non-conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root cause and implementing corrective action.
- Must have experience reviewing work instructions for accuracy and completeness and implementing QMS documentation associated with AS9100.
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions.
- Must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
- The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Candidates must be a resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the area.
- Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Prefer knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum
- Inspect components and assembled parts.
- Perform Internal AS9100 audits.
- Write Non-conformance and start investigation to root cause.
