Position Description: Support coordination of national construction rental operations within a specific fleet category within First Equipment Company (FEC), including equipment asset tracking, data entry, maintenance scheduling, documentation, and logistics.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and logistical support to coordinate fleet activity within a specific fleet category of First Equipment Company (FEC).
- Assist with fleet procurement and deployment tracking for accurate documentation and scheduling across construction projects nationally and/or regionally.
- Maintain fleet records, including rental schedules, service history, warranty information, and registration documents.
- Support preventative maintenance activities, track schedules, coordinate with service vendors, and communicate activities and reminders with field teams.
- Collaborate with project teams and fleet operations staff to gather information related to equipment condition, usage, and service needs and document within fleet management system.
- Assist with compiling data and generating reports for fleet utilization, availability, and compliance.
- Enter and maintain accurate records in fleet management software, perform self-check of entries and resolve any data discrepancies.
- Monitor basic compliance documentation and track regulatory requirements (e.g., inspections, licenses, certifications).
- Engage with FEC Fleet team to gain exposure and expand knowledge of rental fleet management activities and best practices.
- Participate in small mobilization projects, logistics coordination, or system improvement efforts, as directed.
- Support initiatives related to fleet sustainability, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Other activities, duties, responsibilities, and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment coordination, construction logistics, or fleet support operations; internship or field-based experience, a plus; Associate's Degree from accredited program, or equivalent coursework in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field of study desired but not required, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
- Basic understanding of construction fleet categories or rental processes
- Basic understanding of fleet lifecycle concepts, maintenance workflows, and vendor coordination
- Comfortable working with data, schedules, and application systems
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Active listening skills and responsive with thorough follow-up practices
- Process skills to think through logistics and communicate expectations
- Ability to professionally engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office or remote setting. The noise in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally visits construction work sites where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
