Principle Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision of the mill maintenance hourly personnel and contractors. Responsible for providing services required for timely maintenance and economical repair of all plant equipment. Schedule and supervise daily work, coordinating with production day supervisors and planners to plan and prioritize work including material procurement. Schedule and supervise mill hourly and contract employees. Coordinate with planner to maintain work order backlog. Ensure that equipment database / files, PM records and documentation are properly maintained. Actively support safety and housekeeping standards set by maintenance management. Encourage employees to work toward key measures set by department including safety, cost, and quality, controlling overtime as a supporting key measure. Communicate goals, key measures, and expectations to crews. Identify/ determine the training needs of the workforce as well as special tools or equipment required to perform work. Identify additional needs and assist in developing / modifying preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to insure equipment availability.Understand and enforce company policy and existing contracts. Prepares and assists in performance reviews for hourly employees. Provides technical support troubleshooting all types of control systems
Basic Qualifications:
Technical degree in E&I maintenance and minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent years of related E&I maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of technical degree. Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills, leadership qualities, and strong work ethics.
Preferred Experience:
Pulp & Paper industry experience preferred.
