Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests according to prescribed standards and procedures. The role involves determining the chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials for purposes such as quality, process, and environmental controls, as well as product development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and analyze incoming raw material, in-process, and final product samples.
  • Perform daily and weekly instrument calibrations.
  • Maintain laboratory instruments.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of sample analysis.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.

Essential Skills

  • B.S. Degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with management and production personnel.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory equipment, its function, and maintenance.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to work with computers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience multitasking within a lab environment.
  • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes.
  • Proficiency in wet chemistry and analytical chemistry.
  • Data entry skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Theodore, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
