We’re looking for an experienced Pipefitter/Steamfitter to install, assemble, and maintain industrial piping systems. You’ll work from blueprints, measure and fabricate pipe, join and secure components, and test systems for proper operation. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain piping systems for steam, water, heating, cooling, and industrial processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and assemble various pipe materials
- Join and secure pipe sections and related equipment
- Test systems for leaks and proper function
- Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing work
- Cross‑train and support additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of industrial experience preferred
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fork truck operation
- Strong blueprint reading and installation skills
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tuscaloosa, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
