Job Title: Structural Steel Foreman
Job Description
The Structural Steel Foreman will supervise and coordinate daily activities of steel erection crews on job sites, ensuring the installation of structural steel, joists, decking, and related components adhere to safety and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, erection drawings, and project plans to allocate labor and ensure crews have required materials and equipment.
- Oversee the installation of structural steel, joists, decking, and related components.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job-site inspections.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to maintain schedule and resolve field issues.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and progress, adjusting plans as needed.
- Train and mentor crew members in proper steel erection techniques and safe work practices.
- Complete daily reports, time sheets, and documentation as required.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in steel erection, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Strong understanding of rigging, crane operations, bolting, welding, and structural alignment.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct crews.
- Solid knowledge of OSHA standards and job-site safety procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, rigging, or welding are a plus.
- Bilingual skills are advantageous.

Work Environment
Specializes in process piping for the chemical industry as well as food & beverage. Work in team settings at the project site, with varying project durations from a single day to several weeks, depending on project requirements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Memphis, AR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
