Responsibilities

• Read and interpret ISOs and blueprints for pipe layout.
• Cut pipes using saws and hand tools to specified lengths.
• Lay out piping on racks or pipe stands with correct fittings for the welder.
• Work with butt weld and socket weld joints.
• Grind pipes to prepare them for welding.
• Utilize tape measures, levels, two-hole pins, and saws.
• Assist in other areas as needed when pipefitting tasks are unavailable.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience as a pipefitter.
• Industrial experience and process piping expertise.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and ISOs.
• Skill in using hand tools such as levels, two-hole pins, and saws.
• Ability to read tape measures accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in process piping for the chemical and food & beverage industries.

While there is no per diem, travel expenses are reimbursed for distances over 60 miles from the office. Overnight stays include free hotel accommodations and a daily allowance.

Work Environment

The company specializes in process piping for the chemical and food & beverage industries. Work is team-oriented and typically involves short-term projects lasting a few weeks, with occasional day-long assignments. Employees must wear long sleeves and are provided with company shirts after a few weeks. Personal hoods and steel-toed boots are required. Working hours are 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed. Travel to job sites is necessary, and out-of-town work includes gas compensation and per diem.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Memphis, AR.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Memphis,AR.
