Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join our team on a 3–6 month contract basis to provide coverage while a team member is on leave. This role is highly employee-facing and will focus on responding to HR inquiries, managing employee tickets, and ensuring questions and concerns are addressed accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate brings over 3 years of hands-on HR experience, is comfortable speaking directly with employees, and has strong knowledge of benefits, PTO, payroll/tax questions, and employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries submitted through an online ticketing system.
- Respond directly to employees regarding benefits and enrollment questions, PTO and leave inquiries, payroll and tax-related questions, general HR policies and procedures, and employee relations concerns and complaints.
- Triage and route issues to the appropriate internal HR or business teams when needed, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Maintain clear, professional, and empathetic communication with employees at all levels.
- Document cases and interactions accurately within HR systems.
- Support day-to-day HR operations as needed during the coverage period.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on HR experience in a company of 300 people or more.
- 3+ years of experience speaking directly with employees on a daily basis.
- 3+ years of assisting employees daily with questions regarding benefits, PTO, payroll/tax questions, and general employee relations.
- 2+ years of recent experience using Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar HR programs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive or confidential matters professionally.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inquiries simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting a mid- to large-size organization.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and internal case management tools.
- Has worked in a fast-paced or operational environments.
- No specific educational or certification requirements, but related education and/or certifications will set candidates apart.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid schedule with 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office. The schedule will be determined based on needs and manager's requirements of the team. Business casual dress code is expected. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day, with start times flexible if approved by the manager. The HR team consists of 12 people in the semiconductor industry.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr.
