• Owns cluster builds end to end

• Leads incident/problem/change management

• Handles complex troubleshooting

• Minimal guidance needed

• Mentors junior engineers

TOP 4 MUST HAVE SKILLS (ALL LEVELS)

- Strong OpenShift platform operations experience (cluster builds, day 1/day 2 operations)

- Production support experience, including incident/problem/change management

- Python scripting (Engineer 5 requires deeper proficiency)

- Observability tooling: Grafana and Splunk

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build new OpenShift clusters (day 1) and deploy into the environment

- Perform full lifecycle day 2 operations: patching, maintenance, upgrades, hardware support

- Troubleshoot platform issues and drive incident/problem/change management

- Support platform stability and reliability across private cloud Kubernetes environments

- Participate in on call rotation (currently weekly; may change as team grows)

- Engineer 5: act as architectural level backup to the manager, lead operational transformation, contribute to AI Ops strategy, and drive automation via Python

- Engineer 4: independently lead operational tasks, cluster builds, and incident response with minimal guidance

- Engineer 3: perform core L2 operations with some guidance; handle routine platform tasks and troubleshooting

This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $53.59 - $58.00/hr.
