Join our innovative team to design, develop, and implement high-quality software and simulation toolchains for missile flight systems. You will play a crucial role in developing autopilot and guidance algorithms and integrating them into missile flight code. Collaborate with software and hardware teams to enhance vehicle flight software and utilize trajectory-optimization tools to analyze vehicle trajectories.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high‑quality software and simulation toolchains for missile flight systems.
- Develop and integrate autopilot and guidance algorithms directly into missile flight code.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to seamlessly incorporate algorithms into the vehicle’s flight software.
- Utilize various trajectory‑optimization tools to generate, interpret, and analyze vehicle trajectory results.
- Modify or create new scripts (e.g., Python, MATLAB) to capture customer requirements and measure vehicle performance.
- Build, validate, and maintain modeling and simulation frameworks for aerospace vehicles and components.
- Enhance simulation fidelity by integrating advanced modeling techniques for system analysis.
- Perform rigorous testing and evaluation of simulation models, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Gather, post‑process, and analyze large, complex data sets to verify and validate performance results.
- Ensure that simulation outcomes match intended performance metrics and system specifications.
- Experience with autopilot algorithms and vehicle dynamics.
- Proficiency in GNC for missiles or rockets.
- Experience developing autopilot algorithms and vehicle dynamics.
- Competency in running high-fidelity 6DOF/3DOF simulations on HPC clusters.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, MATLAB, and experience with SLRUM, PBS, and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, current and within scope.
- Professional or internship or military experience with vehicle dynamics and developing autopilot algorithms.
- Working knowledge of 6DOF – degrees of freedom, written in C++.
- Experience in GNC algorithms for hypersonic missiles, IR discrimination, and tracking.
- Experience creating CI/CD Pipelines and automating simulation runs and post processing.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
