Job Title: Iron Worker

Job Description

Join our team as an Iron Worker where you will be responsible for structural welding on steel beams and unistrut. Your primary focus will be stick welding, along with rack and steel erection involving light to medium weight beams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural welding on steel beams and unistrut using SMAW and GTW techniques.
  • Erect racks and steel structures, handling light to medium weight beams.
  • Read and interpret blueprints for welding and fitting tasks.
  • Ensure all welding work meets D1.1 standards.
  • Operate a scissor lift safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to OSHA10 safety standards at all times.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Structural Welder.
  • D1.1 Welding Certification.
  • Scissor Lift Certification.
  • OSHA10 Certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfortable with working at heights.
  • Able to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and fitting.
  • Experience with stick welding.

Work Environment

This role requires working at various large job sites including TSMC, with a schedule of five 10-hour days per week, including some Saturdays. You must be comfortable starting as early as 4am during the summer months. Be prepared to work from heights and take on additional tasks as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51.91 - $51.91/hr.
