Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Warehouse & Logistics Lead to manage daily warehouse and logistics operations at our Phoenix facility. This is an ongoing contract role with the potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment.
Candidates must have prior logistics experience within a telecommunications or Outside Plant (OSP) company. This industry-specific background is essential for understanding the materials, workflows, and operational demands of our field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily logistics operations including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Lead and mentor a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inventory transactions using warehouse systems.
- Oversee material staging, cleaning, and screening for telecom equipment (e.g., converters, network hardware).
- Monitor inventory levels and support forecasting and procurement planning.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed; enforce safety protocols.
- Support local deliveries and material transport using company vehicles.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts; resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely material availability for field crews.
Required Qualifications
- Direct logistics experience in a telecommunications or OSP (Outside Plant) company is required.
- Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse supervisory role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with inventory tracking systems and basic computer applications.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate forklifts and company vehicles.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience supporting field service or utility operations.
