Autocad Drafter

Actalent is currently seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter and Designer to join our team at our North Phoenix, Arizona office. The position provides growth opportunities into electrical designing and engineering, encompassing a variety of projects such as potable and non-potable water facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, street and sports lighting, solar/PV systems, and commercial or industrial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical plan layouts using AutoCAD.
• Ensure quality control through backchecking and implementing CAD etiquette, such as centering text and creating aesthetically pleasing layouts.
• Manage symbols/blocks, and title blocks, and perform text masking for optimal drawing presentation.
• Insert and link Excel spreadsheets into CAD drawings and create PDFs.
• Rotate base files within viewports and manage layer settings effectively.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drafting at an engineering consulting firm.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, including base file rotation and Excel integration.
• Competence in reading and interpreting electrical plan layouts.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite.
