In this role, engineering execution and quality control are inseparable. As a Mechanical Engineer II / Quality Control Lead, you will design and support mechanical equipment while ensuring compliance with code requirements, quality standards, and long-term operability expectations. Your engineering decisions will directly influence compliance, inspection outcomes, and the safe commissioning of equipment in the field.
Responsibilities- Design and support mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with code requirements and quality standards.
- Influence inspection outcomes and the safe commissioning of equipment.
- Execute engineering decisions that affect compliance and safety.
- Mechanical engineering experience in pressure vessels and/or piping (boilers, pumps, cooling towers, reactors, incinerators, heat exchangers).
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and quality control requirements (Section I, Section VIII Div. 1, API 650/620) using CEI, Codeware/COMPRESS, and hand calculations.
- Proficiency in pressure vessel, piping, and instrumentation design using P&ID software.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in pressure vessels and/or piping.
- Experience in fabrication shops or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and machinery, vendor selection, procurement, and mechanical integrity.
This role is both office and shop-based, supporting fabrication activities. Occasional short-duration travel for inspections, vendor visits, and testing is required. The position primarily involves standard business hours, with flexibility during critical fabrication or inspection phases.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
