Job Description
As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for assembling and welding various metal components. You must have the ability to weld a variety of materials including cast, steel, and stainless steel, and apply all types of welding processes such as TIG, MIG, and stick welding. Creativity is essential to meet our customers' needs and specifications. You will record all necessary data to produce expected service and design results, including sizing and illustrations, while keeping your work area clean and organized. Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines is a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and weld various metal components.
- Apply all types of welding processes including TIG, MIG, and stick.
- Weld a variety of materials such as cast, steel, and stainless steel.
- Record all necessary data for service and design results.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Interpret shop fabrication drawings.
- Perform high-quality and consistent welds daily.
- Read a tape measure proficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- 1+ years of metal fabrication experience welding in Flux-core and MIG.
- Tank fabrication and welding experience.
- Ability to interpret shop fabrication drawings.
- Proficient in reading a tape measure.
- Experience with MIG welding, carbon steel, 2g, 3g, and 4g experience.
- 2+ years of experience in MIG welding.
- Experience with carbon steel pipe, .035 hard wire for root, flux core, and hard wire root.
- Fill and cap weld, .045 dual shield, TIG welding, stainless steel, and grinding.
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in fabrication work.
This position offers a variety of welding tasks, ensuring you won't be doing the same thing daily. You will have the opportunity to work in both shop and field environments. The role provides great pay and the chance to work with diverse welding projects such as pipe welding, stairs, and ladders.
Work Environment
The position is based in an open-air shop environment, which can be hot in the summer. The work schedule includes a 1st shift from 5 am to 3 pm and a 2nd shift with varying hours. Personal protective equipment required includes steel-toed boots and a hood. The role requires the use of tools such as a square, two hold pins, level, and tape measure.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
