Job Title: Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer with a strong understanding of manufacturing science, including theory of constraints, capacity planning, and flow optimization. This role involves ensuring that the core infrastructure of the factory collaborates effectively with production control and execution systems to meet production needs. The engineer will collect and analyze data to ensure equipment and process flow run optimally, maintain effective scheduling systems, and respond quickly to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze tools and dispatching logic to optimize equipment and process flow.
  • Maintain an effective scheduling system to achieve production capacity targets and improve operational control.
  • Respond quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
  • Establish planning capabilities to maximize fab capabilities and meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robotic workstations, detection instruments, and database/informatics tools meet standards and goals.
  • Manage and coordinate daily activities for Manufacturing Specialists to ensure production goals are met.
  • Oversee the output of the production line and identify gaps, root causes, and solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement proper solutions.
  • Present findings and long-term solutions in meetings on a daily basis.

Essential Skills

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa or Sponsorship support, both now and in the future.
  • B.S. in Industrial, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical and Automation Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or Production Engineering experience.
    • Candidates with 1-3 years do NOT need to have experience working in the Semiconductor Industry.
    • Will consider candidates with 4-5 years of experience if it's within the Semiconductor industry.
  • Experience working on the Production Line and reducing Bottlenecks.
  • Experience analyzing data to improve processes and meet KPI's.
  • Experience identifying defects and optimizing production flow.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL for working with large data sets.

Work Environment

The role primarily involves working with automated production lines, reviewing data sets through a computer. The learning curve for this role can take 6 to 12 months of training. The best candidates are engaged, self-motivated, enthusiastic, quick learners, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers. The environment is fast-paced, offering exposure to various departments and leadership opportunities. This role will offer the ability to gain leadership and management experience, as it works closely with Manufacturing Specialists to coordinate personnel with production needs. There are active plans in motion for 6+ additional Fabs at this site in Phoenix, AZ, which will provide ample opportunity for upward mobility and advancement.

Compensation

Candidates with a Bachelors in Science are eligible for $95,000 to $100,000 base salary per year, with 18% bonus. Candidates with a Master's Degree are eligible for $100,000 to $120,000 per year, with 18% bonus. Annual merit raises are offered, and room for advancement and promotions will be available. Relocation assistance can be offered for this role.
