Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician provides hands-on maintenance support for two facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and well-presented buildings and grounds. This role performs a wide range of electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance tasks, completes minor repairs across multiple building systems, and coordinates with external vendors and landlords to keep operations running smoothly. The technician serves as the primary maintenance resource for both locations and helps maintain a clean, efficient, and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the condition and appearance of buildings and grounds at two facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and professional presentation.
- Perform electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance throughout both facilities to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Complete minor repairs for electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, swamp coolers, and carpentry needs as they arise.
- Support the maintenance and safe operation of facility machinery, including forklifts, tugger machines, and scissor lifts.
- Communicate and coordinate with third-party vendors and landlords to schedule, oversee, and follow up on maintenance and repair work.
- Respond to facility issues in a timely manner and troubleshoot problems to determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Maintain organized records of maintenance activities, repairs, and vendor interactions using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as needed.
- Travel between both facilities during the workday and act as the sole facilities maintenance technician for both locations.
- Follow safety procedures and best practices when performing maintenance tasks and operating or working around industrial equipment.
- Prioritize work orders and manage time effectively to support operational needs across both facilities.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial equipment and processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of facility-related issues.
- Hands-on experience with basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for communication and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintenance requests across two locations.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely as part of daily maintenance activities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors, and landlords.
- Prior experience coordinating and communicating with third-party vendors and customers.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing, drywall work, and other facility repair disciplines.
- Experience working around or supporting equipment such as forklifts, tugger machines, and scissor lifts.
- Comfort working independently as the primary facilities maintenance resource for multiple locations.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role supporting two facilities, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, starting at either 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. The position requires commuting between both locations during the workday and functioning as the sole facilities maintenance technician for both sites. The environment is manufacturing-based and industrial, with regular exposure to equipment such as forklifts, tugger machines, and scissor lifts. Work involves physical activity, including lifting up to 75 pounds, moving throughout the facilities, and performing repairs in various areas of the buildings and grounds. The setting is hands-on and fast-paced, with a focus on safety, reliability, and maintaining a clean, orderly workplace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
