Compensation & Pay Breakdown
Pay: $27/hr taxable + $192/day per diem (5 or 7 days/week depending on shift)
Estimated Weekly Income (40-Hour Work Week)
• Taxable Pay: $27/hr × 40 hrs = $1,080/week
• Per Diem: $192/day × 7 days = $1,344/week
• Total Gross Weekly Income: ≈ $2,424/week
• Estimated After-Tax Weekly Income: ≈ $2,262/week
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Composite Technicians to support the production of advanced aerospace composite structures. This role focuses on CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) manufacturing, precision assembly, bonding, and autoclave curing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CFRP composite layups using Toray prepreg materials per engineering drawings and work instructions
• Execute vacuum bagging, thermocouple placement, and cure preparation for autoclave and oven processes
• Operate and monitor autoclaves and curing ovens; document pressure and temperature parameters
• Conduct bonding preparation (cleaning, abrading, masking, adhesive application, hot bonding)
• Operate CNC routers for trimming, drilling, machining, and finishing composite components
• Perform structural assembly including drilling, riveting, wiring, and sheet metal repair as required
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure aerospace quality and conformance to specifications
• Maintain accurate production logs and documentation
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and process trials during facility expansion
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on composite manufacturing experience (aerospace preferred)
• Experience with:
• Bonding preparation and adhesive handling
• Composite layup (carbon fiber, fiberglass)
• Vacuum bagging and autoclave curing
• Toray prepreg materials
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
• CNC routing and composite machining
• Assembly using hand tools and power tools
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting new facility setup or equipment installation
• Knowledge of AS9100 or NADCAP quality systems
• Experience with honeycomb core structures
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure
• Forklift or overhead crane certification
• Technical certification or associate degree in aerospace/manufacturing

• Clean room bench work
• Climate-controlled facility
• PPE provided on site

• 3rd Shift (Fri–Sun)
What We’re Looking For
• Detail-oriented, hands-on composite technicians
• Strong experience with hot bonding and vacuum bagging
• Familiarity with honeycomb structures
• Ability to walk through the full bagging process of a flat panel reinforcement
• Comfortable reading and executing work from blueprints and technical documentation

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
