Job Title: Staff Engineer


Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Engineer with extensive experience in Golang and a passion for mentoring and enforcing best coding practices. The ideal candidate will develop tools and templates for process improvements and be instrumental in scaling our platform to handle 1,000 times the current load while maintaining 100% uptime over the next few years.


Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Enforce best coding practices and advocate for continuous improvement.
  • Develop tools and templates for process improvements.
  • Scale the platform to handle significant increases in load while maintaining 100% uptime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve technical goals.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Golang with a recent focus.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Staff Software Engineering experience.
  • Expertise in Golang, Javascript, Microservices, and API.
  • Over 10 years of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, SOLID principles, TDD/BDD, and clean code/architecture.
  • 5 or more years of experience with modern technologies like GraphQL, gRPC, microservices, and NoSQL.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based architecture and automated release pipelines
  • 7 or more years of API-first approach expertise with loosely coupled systems and domain-driven design.
  • Experience in managing and planning technical debt.
  • Strong focus on quality code and various testing approaches.
