Job Title: Civil Engineer/Project Manager


Job Description

This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer/Project Manager to lead and manage land development and infrastructure projects across the United States. The role involves overseeing the planning, design, entitlement, and construction of various projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. You will manage staff, consultants, and stakeholders while providing technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior engineers, designers, and technicians.


Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and manage the execution of civil engineering projects such as land/site development, roads, water supply systems, sewer collection systems, and drainage systems.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties such as clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies.
  • Monitor and control the progress, quality, and performance of the projects, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and manage changes and conflicts.
  • Conduct site inspections/observations to check compliance with permitted design drawings and provide technical support and solutions to field staff and contractors.
  • Lead and motivate a project team, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methods, and tools.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in the land development sector.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial land development.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
