Job Title: Phlebotomist - Sun City

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated phlebotomist who will be responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing within a doctor's office setting. This position involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens, proper entry into the computer system, preparation of samples for testing, and distribution to the appropriate analytical areas. The role includes specific analytical testing as assigned and adherence to the Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients and perform specimen processing.
• Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
• Enter specimen data into the company's computer system accurately.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to the proper analytical area.
• Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
• Ensure pre and post aspects of analytical testing are handled appropriately.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct.

Essential Skills

• 1 or more years of prior phlebotomy experience required (excluding donor, plasma, and MA phlebotomy).
• Must be comfortable working independently.
• Proficiency in blood draw, specimen collection, and specimen processing.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy and laboratory practices.
• GED or High School Diploma required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Candidates should not have been a previous employee unless they left over 6 months ago in good standing.
• A rehire check with HR will need to be completed for previous employees.

Work Environment

The position is based in a doctor's office. Working hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The phlebotomist will primarily work with the doctor's patients and collaborate closely with medical assistants. The role provides ample opportunities for growth, with a career ladder available after six months to advance to Phlebotomist Tech 2, including a pay increase. The organization encourages internal promotion for leadership roles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sun City, Arizona.

Pay Rate: $24.5/hr.
