Job Description
The Documentation Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining documentation related to quality and environmental health and safety activities. This role involves classifying, storing, retrieving, and updating information using various databases and software tools, including MS Office and PDF management programs. The specialist supports internal audits, assists with documentation for material review and process changes, and ensures accurate record-keeping for calibration and compliance activities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the quality control team and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize documentation related to quality and environmental health and safety activities.
- Classify, store, retrieve, and update information using various databases and software tools.
- Support internal audits and assist with documentation for material review and process changes.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping for calibration and compliance activities.
- Proficiency with document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- 3–5 years of related experience in documentation, administrative support, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with ISO documentation or quality systems is advantageous.
The role is based in a manufacturing facility in Burbank, CA, within the Quality department.
