Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

The Quality Control Technician serves as the shift’s quality subject‑matter expert. In this role, you will actively patrol production areas to evaluate product quality, collect samples, verify specifications, communicate any deviations to operators and supervisors, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain inspection reports.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Verify compliance with company requirements and all applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Report quality issues or anomalies to supervision.
  • Compile test data and prepare quality reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality control processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in quality assurance, quality inspection, food inspection, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment.
  • Proficiency in Good Documentation Practices.
  • 1+ year of experience as an inspector or quality technician in a food lab environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Excellent visual attention to detail.
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Experience drafting reports and compiling data.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze technical information.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Work Environment

Shift: 10pm - 6:30am, Monday - Friday (Graveyard). The work environment is collaborative and hands-on, focused on craftsmanship, food safety, and quality. Employees often work in fast-paced production settings where attention to detail and teamwork are essential. The culture values tradition, innovation, and pride in producing premium chocolate.

This is a Contract position based out of Burlingame, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
