IT Procurement Specialist to support day‑to‑day IT procurement operations across software, hardware, and IT services. This role will focus heavily on software contracts, licensing, renewals, and IT asset management, while partnering closely with IT Operations and Logistics.

This is an execution-focused role—ideal for an early‑career procurement or IT professional who is a strong learner and can take ownership of tasks quickly.

IT Procurement & Vendor Management

- Evaluate, source, negotiate, and purchase IT hardware, software, and services

- Prepare, negotiate, and manage IT contracts, renewals, and pricing agreements

- Support software licensing models and vendor negotiations

- Run RFx processes; review bids, quotes, and proposals

- Track procurement orders and deliveries

- Manage tickets and requests via Jira

- Partner with internal stakeholders to assess IT needs

- Work with a coordinator on hardware purchasing

IT Asset Management (ITAM)

- Support ITAM policies, audits, and reporting

- Assist with software lifecycle management (renewals, compliance, user management)

- Identify unused or underutilized licenses to support cost optimization

Top Skills / Must-Haves

- Software & IT procurement experience (more important than general procurement)

- Experience negotiating software or IT contracts

- Understanding of IT/software licensing models

- Exposure to IT asset management or software lifecycle processes

- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

- Ability to work independently without heavy oversight

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
