Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to layout, fit, fabricate, and assemble components for Heat Processing Equipment. This role involves a combination of assembly, dismantling, and repair activities.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, align, and fit components together.
• Clamp and tack weld parts to secure proper positioning for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using Stick, ARC, or MIG welding techniques as well as TIG and alloy welding techniques as needed.
• Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods; ensure structures are square and level.
• Perform tasks with sheet metal, including fabricating oven panels, spot welding, and applying insulating materials.
• Conduct welding, cutting, and grinding on plate and structural materials.
• Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding.
• Fabrication skills with a focus on structural steel 1/4"+ gauge thick.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in welding and fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to pass weld and quick math test.
• Experience in bending metal and cutting angles.
• Certification is not required but is considered an advantage.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment where the noise level may be high. Candidates should bring their own work boots, though steel toe is not required. The role involves 25% welding, with the remainder spent on fabricating, building, prepping material, and installing insulation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chino, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
