Direct Hire - CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking two 2nd Shift CNC Machinist for a large valve manufacturing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This role requires working nine-hour shifts starting at either 1:30 pm or 2:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime on Saturdays. The position offers competitive pay based on experience, ranging from $25 to $35 per hour (can be higher with the right experience), and is open to entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and develop their skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust program offsets on CNC multi-task horizontal machining centers according to engineering specifications, production drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Ensure work in process adheres to quality and production standards.
• Change machine settings for various production runs as required.
• Obtain and return necessary work supplies from the tool crib.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure equipment is in good operating condition.
• Utilize hand tools as needed.
• Complete accurate production and work records.
• Deburr parts to complete production work when necessary.
• Operate jib crane and bridge crane for loading and unloading parts.
• Familiarize and properly use hitching and rigging equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with CNC machining, including mill or lathe operation.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Strong inspection and quality assurance skills.
• Ability to operate and adjust CNC equipment control settings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of recent experience or training in machining, preferably with CNC multi-task vertical machining centers.
• Considerable knowledge of methods and techniques for operating CNC machinery and related hand tools.
• Knowledge of safe equipment operating procedures and work practices.
• Familiarity with proper fluid levels and coolant recovery procedures.

This is a Permanent position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
