We’re seeking a detail-oriented and driven Electrical Engineer to support the design and implementation of electrical power systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities. What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop electrical power systems for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit current evaluations.
  • Create detailed conduit routing, motor control center (MCC), and switchgear designs.
  • Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and construction documentation.
  • Conduct field investigations, support start-up and commissioning, and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 820, NESC, and IEEE standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface directly with clients.

Key Focus Areas

  • Power system design for municipal water and wastewater treatment.
  • Application of IEEE Color Books, NEC, and NFPA standards.
  • Field startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Specification development and construction support.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 6–12 years of experience in electrical design for infrastructure projects.
  • PE license (required).
  • Proficiency in power system analysis, including harmonic distortion, power factor, and reactive power.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 820, NESC, and IEEE 80/485.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with municipal water reuse and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Familiarity with control schematics, electrical utilities, and cost estimating.
