Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support various financial operations within our client's organization. The role involves assisting in data gathering, content commitments, and managing content asset planning systems. You will play a vital role in forecasting, quarter close activities, and IS&T projects, contributing to the improvement of financial processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering data and support all content commitments, including deal terms, budgets, breakages, and scheduling maintained in the content asset planning system.
• Aid in content slate forecasting, focusing on title composition and amortization for monthly forecasting cycles and long-range plans.
• Contribute to quarter close activities related to content accruals, amortization, allocations, and disclosures.
• Participate in IS&T projects to implement and enhance financial systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in their implementation.
• Support ad hoc requests and projects as needed.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or contract reviews.
• Education in accounting or a finance-related field.
• Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end processes.
• Experience with journal entries, forecasting, financial reporting, contract review, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of accruals and amortization.
• Experience in the Entertainment/Media industry, specifically direct Film / T&V FP&A experience.

Work Environment

This position requires a hybrid work schedule, with three days onsite (Tuesday through Thursday).
