Job Title: Repair and Refurbishment Technician

Job Description

The role involves repairing and refurbishing modules used primarily in schools and business offices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sense of urgency, prioritize safety, and work independently. Standard hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a possible summer schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Flexibility with hours is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and trailers, including floors, walls, and counters.
• Assist in training and supporting the service and refurbishment teams.
• Inspect and perform basic electrical wiring tasks.
• Scrape and seal roofs as needed.
• Clean windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors.
• Perform carpentry repairs on floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, and fixtures.
• Ensure a clean working environment inside and outside, including lawn, parking lot, and building.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and place orders.
• Attend regular safety meetings with a focus on maintaining a safety-first mentality.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Proficient in carpentry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in using and operating a floor buffer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and welding is a plus.
• Experience in carpentry, framing, blueprint reading, plumbing, repair, minor electrical, and minor HVAC.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted both inside a shop and outside in the yard, with environments that are hot or cold depending on the weather. Additionally, work inside trailers may not have air conditioning. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, work pants, and a t-shirt, with the company providing safety glasses and gloves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
