Job Title: Repair and Refurbishment Technician

Job Description

Join our team to repair and refurbish modules used in schools and business offices. We seek a candidate who works with urgency, prioritizes safety, and can work independently using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean shop environment and trailers, including floors, walls, and counters.
• Assist and train in servicing and refurbishing tasks.
• Inspect electrical systems for basic wiring needs.
• Scrape and seal roofs as required.
• Clean windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors.
• Perform carpentry repairs on floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, and fixtures.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside, including the lawn, parking lot, and building.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and place orders as needed.
• Attend regular safety meetings, embracing a safety-first mentality.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Carpentry knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, and welding is a plus.
• Ability to operate a floor buffer.
• Knowledge in carpentry, framing, blueprint reading, minor electrical, plumbing, repair, and HVAC.
• Must possess basic hand tools like a hammer, screwdrivers, wrench set, and tape measure.

Work Environment

Work both indoors and outdoors, in varying temperatures. Hours are 6 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility required, especially during summer. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, work pants, and a t-shirt. The company provides safety glasses and gloves. Must bring your own steel-toed boots, tool bag, and basic hand/power tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fontana,CA.
