Civil/Environmental Engineer – Sustainable Water Resources

They are seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for environmentally responsible design. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects involving the treatment, conveyance, and storage of wastewater, recycled water, and potable water.
Key Focus Areas
- Sustainable Water Infrastructure: Design with environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance in mind.
- Treatment Process Design: Develop efficient systems for water and wastewater treatment.
- Hydraulic & System Modeling: Perform detailed simulations and calculations.
- Environmental Permitting: Navigate complex regulatory frameworks (CA, AZ, US EPA). Construction Documentation.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
What You’ll Do
- Design and analyze treatment processes and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct system modeling and process calculations.
- Prepare construction documents and technical reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Perform cost estimating, field studies, and site analysis.
- Support research, pilot testing, and environmental permitting.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Provide construction administration and site visit support.
- Mentor junior engineers and CAD staff (as applicable).
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field (Master’s preferred).
- Licensure: Valid PE license (California preferred).
- Experience: 5–15 years in water resources engineering, with a focus on treatment, conveyance, and storage systems.
- Skills: Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, treatment design, permitting, and technical documentation.

- Team leadership and mentoring.
- Business development and proposal writing.
- Research and pilot testing of new technologies.
- Cost estimating and feasibility analysis.
- Construction administration and field coordination.
