Job Description

We are seeking dedicated solar laborers and installers to assist in changing out clamps on an existing solar project using basic hand tools. The role requires completing tasks in a timely and safe manner while adhering to specific instructions. Candidates should be comfortable using personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, glasses, vests, hard hats, and face shields. Responsibilities include performing general labor tasks such as dismantling and assembling racks, heavy lifting, and working comfortably outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Use basic hand tools to change out clamps on solar projects.
• Complete work in a timely and safe manner, following specific instructions.
• Comfortable using PPE such as gloves, glasses, vests, hard hats, and face shields.
• Perform general labor tasks like dismantling and assembling racks.
• Handle heavy lifting and work comfortably outdoors.

Essential Skills

• Experience in solar labor, general labor, or construction.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Tools such as: adjustable crescents, combo wrenches, torque wrenches, spud wrenches, mallets, rubber mallets, dead blows, band saws, grinders/cutters, drills, impact guns, and tape measures.
• Experience with solar panel installation and assembly.
• Familiarity with commercial construction and solar projects.
• Possession of OSHA 10 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with utility scale solar projects in R&D or field settings.
• Forklift certification, 5k or 10k telehandler certification, gradal certification.
• Forklift operation experience.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite at headquarters in Fremont, CA. You will work in an outdoor environment that is fast-paced and ever-changing, typical of an R&D solar setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
