Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an assembler, you will be responsible for unpacking chassis and components, using small hand tools to install and replace parts, integrating computer parts into chassis, and installing screws and parts into racks. You will also handle switches, apply labels, install rails, and cable racks and server components. Packaging completed server racks and identifying and labeling cables are also key parts of your role. You may assist in recycling materials and will follow detailed assembly instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Open and unpack chassis and components for server assembly.
• Utilize small hand tools to install or replace brackets, labels, and other parts.
• Integrate computer parts into chassis on a progressive line.
• Install small screws and parts into chassis and racks.
• Handle and affix switches, applying labels as needed.
• Install rails according to rack specifications.
• Cable racks and server components.
• Package completed server racks.
• Identify and label cables for rack specifications.
• Assist with recycling materials as required.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with assembly and mechanical tasks.
• Experience using hand tools and small hand tools.
• Knowledge of cable harnessing and production processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Comfortable working on ladders.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Work Environment

The work environment is a high-security ESD setting which can be noisy in certain areas. Personal electronics are not allowed in the work area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.50/hr.
